Every Red Dog Trail Welder is assembled and tested in Colorado before it ships. Your package includes the welder, a set of clearly labeled jumper cables, a quick instruction card and basic owner's manual.
This machine penetrates 1/4" steel with ease, and with a few passes you can weld 3/8" or even 1/2" when the trail demands it. It’s designed to mount into Pelican‑style cases, stackable toolboxes, or even a 50‑cal ammo can (welder fits; cables don’t) using the included 1/4‑20 bolts.
Setup is fast thanks to clearly labeled clamps, and once you hook up to your batteries, the welder runs at full power with adjustable wire speed. The integrated voltmeter keeps you from draining your batteries past the point of restarting your rig.
With two healthy fully charged batteries, you’ll get an average of 3 feet of weld, plenty for most trail fixes.
