About Us
J Web's Fab was started by Josh Weber building hidden winch mounts for square body Chevy Trucks. It was a niche market that didn't offer much expansion. When metal prices became too high to keep those mounts affordable they we left by the wayside. His passion for off roading did not change, however. As Josh's driving skills started to outstrip the capabilities of his beloved '87 square body "Nina" He set his sights on a new build. A mini truck with one ton toughness. After building "The Little Toyota" he quickly faced a new reality. With the extreme nature of the wheeling he was able to do with this truck, a welder needed to be added to his trail tools. While there are several options on the market, all of them were more costly than they could spare at the time, but they knew if they got into a situation where a welder was needed, it would cost a lot more for someone else to come out and fix or recover their rig.
So Josh researched how to build his own. After a trail run with a couple of friends, Josh showed them the welder he built and both of them asked to buy one. After much debate about what to name it, Zoey their Red Heeler struck a pose while they were taking photos to sell an early batch and The Red Dog Trail Welder was born.
Josh lives with his wife Amy and their mascot Zoey in Colorado and they spend at least two weeks a year in Moab or Sand Hollow. Currently they both hold full time jobs while building J Webs Fabrication.
If you see us on the trails say hi! Zoey loves new friends!
